Since the last day of school is on a Tuesday, I thought it would be a good idea to have the freshman/rookie week of summer band to be on that first week. This will give everyone a full three weeks off from band before 4th of July week. This first week will be a chance for the freshman to get to know some of the upperclassman on a low-stress, non-performance introduction to high school band. I have also included my summer vacation dates so that you may see when I will be out of town. If you think I don’t answer emails and phone calls fast enough now, I am totally oblivious to the real world while at the beach. ?

I will pass out band camp packets during the week of July 4th. We will have band practice everyday after school beginning on Wednesday Aug. 26. Practice will always end between 4:00 and 4:30 depending on the week and the expectations of the upcoming show. I will give the weekly times in our Pioneer Press so that everyone has notice. I will also keep Mondays as color guard and percussion rehearsals only. (like last season) Schedules will vary for MS Band night week. Please mark you calendars for November 19-21 for the debut of “Friday Night Live.” I will make available the entire marching schedule at the end of Spring when it becomes finalized.
